The Role
Following recent internal restructuring, increased commitment from Management and team members and as part of our client’s ongoing presence in the North West they are looking to grow their MEP Design and Sustainability offering
 
They are currently recruiting a Senior Revit MEP /BIM Technician.
 
The post holder will provide the complete engineering design supervision from client brief through to design, tender documentation, site supervision and contract administration.
 
Responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to :
Work flexibly on tasks having responsibilities for delivery to agreed timescales, working within budget and meeting the necessary quality requirements as defined by the operational procedures.
Be expected to check and review their own outputs to achieve the appropriate standards prior to the formal reviews by the technical leads.
Daily operations will be under guidance and instruction from Engineers and other technical staff in accordance with office Quality arrangements.
The role will involve a flexible and adaptable approach to facilitate the demands of the business and will typically include projects for new build and refurbishment works in Building Services.
In conjunction with the following responsibilities:-
Assist and support Design Engineers with Design information input into Revit Models.
Develop Design Intent information into 3D coordinated models.
Manage end sheet output, production and delivery.
Maintain CAD/Revit & BIM standards and standard drawing configurations.
Complete drawing issue sheets on behalf of engineers as necessary.
Manage common data exchange environments
Liaise with external design teams as necessary, to coordinate Revit /BIM Model design process and production.
Implement and manage QA systems and procedures on all projects.
 
Essential Criteria
  • Autodesk Revit Essential with minimum of 3 years in field experience working with RevitMEP
  • City & Guilds 4351 AutoCAD  levels 2 & 3 (2D&3D)
  • Self-motivated, confident and enthusiastic and comfortable working with all members of the construction and design team.
  • You must be capable of working under own initiative and without supervision.
  • Ability to understand the “bigger picture”, whilst also producing a high level of accuracy with attention to detail.
  • Commercially aware and financially astute.
  • Familiarity with current industry guides, Building Regulations and current good practise.
  • Proficient in appropriate IT tools to support your wider team members
 
Desirable Criteria
  • HNC/HND or Degree with relevant experience of working within a single or multi disciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Awareness of BIM mandates and aspirations.
             
Remuneration
  • Salary – Negotiable depending on experience.
  • Holidays – 20 days
 
 Place of Work Location
This role will be based in our Blackburn office; however, travelling will be required to other offices as project requirements dictate.
