- THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our clients Design Group, based in their Farnborough office for a Contracts Manager.
You will be responsible for regularly visiting construction sites to inspect engineering service installations undertaken by contractors, report on completeness and quality, witness testing and commissioning, and review record documentation.
Your feedback to our design teams is an important contributor to maintaining the high standards of installation required by the practice. Business development will also feature as part of this role.
THE INDIVIDUAL
You will have 8+ years’ contracting / site based building services engineering experience gained within a consultancy or similar, including contract management and administration, the testing (ideally integrated) and commissioning of building services installations, and construction site quality control.
A proactive team player, who works well under their own initiative, you will have proven business development capabilities along with strong negotiation skills, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels. You will be familiar with electronic based document control systems, and have good report writing skills.
An enthusiastic individual with relevant academic background such as HND/HNC or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar, you will also be a member of CIBSE / IET / IMechE or be working towards your membership.
