- My client a well established Building services consultancy are seeking an enthusiastic Principal Acoustic Consultant to join their Acoustics group in the Hampshire office. You would be part of a growing, dynamic team working on projects throughout the UK and Middle-East.
The role involves varied work on high-profile projects, from inception through to completion in the commercial, residential, education, healthcare and industrial sectors. Candidates will be expected to be familiar with managing projects on time and within budget. Coordination is required with other engineers within the company, so an appreciation of the needs and perspectives of other design disciplines is essential. The role would also require experience in people management, mentoring and assisting less experienced staff.
Candidates will preferably have 7+ years’ Acoustic Consultancy experience in the Building Services, Architectural, and/or Environmental consultancy arena, and have achieved a Bachelor degree in Acoustics or a closely related subject (e.g. Physics), or the IOA postgraduate Diploma.
A valid driving licence is essential, since the role will inevitably involve travel to sites, meetings etc. Candidates must also hold a full membership (MIOA) of the Institute of Acoustics.
