Purpose of Job
Production of Revit 3D BIM (& 2D CAD) drawings. Utilise and set BIM industry standard protocol for BIM./REVIT drawing production within the practice, to produce BIM drawings of the highest standards.
Principle Responsibilities
(i) Undertake Revit 3D BIM drawing delivery, agree scope with the engineer and carry out CAD/BIM drawing work.
(ii) Monitor and assist other assisting BIM Technicians.
(iii) Maintain BIM/REVIT standards and standard drawing configurations.
(iv) Develop and maintain CAD layering standards / Revit CAD Library & BIM protocols.
(v) Liase with external design teams as necessary, to coordinate Revit /BIM Model design process and production.
(vi) Implement and manage QA systems and procedures on all projects.
(vii) Identify and implement all training/CPD requirements of staff within their group.
(viii) Implement and manage QA systems and procedures on all projects.
Other Responsibilities
(i) Assist with site surveys and record drawing production.
(ii) Assist Engineers with basic design production.
Experience & Qualifications
(i) Excellent presentation skills.
(ii) Minimum 10 years experience – CAD competent.
(iii) AutoCAD Revit 3D BIM qualified/ 5 years experience.
(iv) Thorough knowledge of industry requirements.
(v) Track, monitor and implement international CAD standards.
(vi) Understanding and use BIM within design team.
