- Description
- Our Client is looking for a CQA Engineer to work on site in Ware. The role will require someone with landfill experience and construction quality assurance to provide support and guidance to on site contractors.
Experience of factual and interpretive report would be an advantage.
Key accountabilities:
- Undertake supervision of landfill engineering.
- Experience of working to landfill engineering specifications and CQA plans.
- Review and preparation of landfill engineering completion reports
- Provision of support to office and site staff in relation to landfill engineering and geotechnical aspects of projects as part of the engineering department
- Undertake ecological and geotechnical investigations for waste management sites, contaminated land, mineral extraction and other development projects assessing environmental impacts and undertaking risk assessments
- Undertake the preparation of specifications and contract documents for site investigations, laboratory testing and construction works
- Field Supervision of drilling operatives, borehole installation and logging of boreholes
- Preparation of reports or other written work
- Adhere to quality procedures in accordance with the quality system
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- BSc, MSc in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), Geology or Earth Sciences related discipline
- Site supervision experience for waste management and landfill engineering projects
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
- High standard of written work
- Ability to prioritise work loads
- Systems literate with a good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft operating systems
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Good administrative skills
- Driving License essential
- Valid CSCS card and unbranded, clear PPE
