As a successful Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you will work closely with clients, architects, contractors and other Engineers as part of a dedicated and skilled Building Services team in Manchester. Due to the ongoing success of gaining a range of interesting projects, this highly esteemed Building Services Consultancy are recruiting an Intermediate Electrical Design Consultant to join the Building Services team in their Manchester office.

Responsibilities:

Undertake detailed electrical engineering building services design
Lighting, Fire and Security Alarm system design for a range of building services projects
Prepare technical schedules.
Work closely with and monitor performance of Technicians and Graduate Engineers (as appropriate)
Under guidance of senior staff, represent the client at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers
Ensure service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
Ensure that appropriate service / electrical design decisions are met.
Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service / electrical design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
Coordinating work with other members of the project team
Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client’s best interests.
Actively work towards a Senior Electrical Engineer position in the future
Mentor and assist Graduate Engineers.

Skills & Attributes

Ideally, the successful candidate will have some experience of working on a variety of challenging electrical design building services projects.
Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (BEng) / BSc or Masters degree (MEng) / MSc in a relevant subject - e.g. Electrical Engineer, Electronic Engineering,or HND Electrical or Building Services Engineering

Proficient in using any of the following : Amtech, Relux, Cymap, Hevacomp, Revit, Dialux
