- Our Client is a long-standing Mechanical & Electrical Services Consultancy operating in many sectors within the Built Environment.The Company also engages in Construction Management for some of its specialist Pharmaceutical work.They are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their teamThe ideal candiate will additionally have Project Management experience, with the ability to manage the specialist contracts the company engages in.They will also have a minimum of 8 years’ experience within the industry and at a stage of their career be Chartered or working towards it, with the relevant institution membership.The salary and benefits will be commensurate with the position and experience.KEY DUTIES:The position is a design lead role and is to include, but not limited to, the following:
- Prepare designs/specifications/schedules
- Co-ordinate design with all other disciplines, including (but not limited to) Architects, Structural/Civil Engineers, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers
- Supervise engineers, technicians, trainees, junior engineers and CAD operators
- Assist in development (both technical and general) of all subordinate staff
- Perform project management role, when required
- Liaise with Site Engineer (where appointed) during construction and issue site instructions where necessary
- Perform site surveys
- Attending meetings, both in the office and external
- Arrange/attend factory witness tests/approvals (when required)
- Prepare budget estimates
- Control project hours
- Agree programme activity
- Liaise with supply authorities for new supplies/connections
- Maintain accurate records of time and expenses using company forms
- Work within guidelines of the company Health and Safety Policy at all times
- Undertake further education as agreed with the Directors in connection with job requirements/ CPD
Benefits:- Holiday – 20 working days, with additional holiday after continuous employment (up to 30 working days). In addition to the Statutory Bank Holidays, our office closes over the Christmas period.
