As Senior CAD Technician reporting to our Senior Engineers, you will have the chance to take responsibility for the production of CAD models and drawings, ensuring the compatibility of your models with those of disciplines working alongside you, develop junior staff and contribute towards the solutions to technical problems.This is an opportunity to join a department which is already thirty Engineers and CAD Technicians strong. We plan to grow the team and this recruit will be important in the development of the team's CAD capability.
Projects you will assist on will include: Leeman Road Depot, M4 tunnel works, Transpennine Route Upgrade, plus anticipated work for Crossrail, Great Western Route and our energy from waste projects.
About YouEssential experience includes:
- Data management and experience in using ProjectWise
- 3D CAD modelling in Microstation
- Reinforcement detailing and scheduling
- Proven track record of working with client's CAD standards
- Previous Rail based experience
- A track record of developing junior CAD staff
- A proven interest in developing and improving the use of CAD
Experience in other CAD software such as Revit or AutoCAD would be beneficial.
