Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer - Sevenoaks
 
Our Client is a comprehensive, award-winning multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in the design, procurement, management and maintenance of all aspects of the built environment.
 
They are an industry leading practice with a strong and established reputation as a highly competent, reliable and efficient business producing value for money, quality services in a timely manner which exceed expectations.
 
As a practice, They offer the following services: architecture, building services engineering, building surveying, CDM co-ordination, cost management / quantity surveying, employers agent, interior design, project management and project monitoring. The main sectors we work in are: commercial, education, healthcare, heritage, industrial, leisure, protective, public sector and residential.
 
They are looking for a motivated and dynamic senior mechanical building services engineer to join their Sevenoaks office in Kent.
 
The successful applicant will be expected to autonomously develop and progress designs from concept through to fully detailed and co-ordinated design packages. The applicant will be required to provide consultancy services through construction up to completion of the project.
 
The ideal candidate would have the following:
1.       Significant experience as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, ideally within a multi-disciplinary consultancy
2.       A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or equivalent experience
3.       Chartered or working towards chartered status with CIBSE
4.       Excellent presentation and communication skills
5.       Experience in the preparation of drawings using AutoCAD
6.       Experience in the use of Hevacomp and IES
7.       Knowledge of BIM/Revit. Experience in using Revit would be an advantage
8.       Managing and mentoring junior and subordinate staff
