The right individual must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of more than 5 years’ experience in architecture, engineering in design or drafting, with a focus in delivery.
This will include a minimum of 3 years’ experience in one major BIM tools such as Revit (or AECOSIM, ARCHICAD, DIGITAL PROJECT) and a demonstrable working knowledge of BIM processes and standards such as PAS1192-2, AIA E203, G201.

The Role
In this position you will be responsible for the following:
· Formulate the Unit BIM Implementation Plan across all disciplines in the unit and deliver it with the mandate of the unit Group Director
· Manage project technology (acting as a client to IT) and BIM training (acting as a client to L&D and external training suppliers)
· The individual represents his/her region at global BIM Meetings & IT meetings, drives adoption of global “Best Practice”
· Operating a network in his/her region of “BIM Champions” such as Discipline BIM leads (Structural/Mechanical BIM Lead) and/or office BIM Leads (e.g Mumbai BIM Lead)
· The individual presents companies capabilities to clients, seek to maximise value from the organisation BIM competences and help negotiate the BIM aspects of contracts (BIM Execution Plan).
The Individual
· Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi is essential.
· A Team player with demonstrable leadership capabilities and a professional approach
· Ability to take on additional responsibilities, maximise efficiency and manage priorities
· Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment
· 5+ years’ experience in architecture, engineering in design or drafting, with a focus on delivery

Detailed Role Focus
50% Internal Regional Focus
Manages Unit BIM Plan for the region, including L&D
Manages project technology needs for the region
Represents Region at Global BIM meetings & Global IT meetings
Drives shares and implements Global Best Practice by attending seminars, conference and workshops.
Manages the content, creation and curation of templates & BIM Libraries
50% External Project Focus (chargeable service)
Responsible for presenting BIM services to clients
Authors project BIM Plan in Bid phase, sets Data Management Strategy & workflows for all projects
Coaches projects and performs QA audits in rotation
Interoperability Management of BIM and design / engineering tools
Key deliverables:
BIM strategy for the region
BIM process and workflow for key project
BIM implementation plan for the region
BIM auditor for projects
Technology:
Manage the implementation of BIM platform by IT, and the supporting BIM tools and infrastructure
Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies as part of the BHE BIM Beta programme
Keep up to date on best practices for use of BIM software through research and conferences
Delivers BIM software training where possible, and oversees delivery of training modules
Standards:
Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation and enforcement in his/her region
Manages the BIM templates & BIM Libraries for his/her region, including family creation and curation.
Quality control of models for data integrity and adherence to standards
Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow processes
Coaches and oversees the day-to-day delivery of projects to BHE BIM standards, and ensures they are followed in the BIM models and content libraries
Support:
Support the BIM technology needs
Troubleshoot problems
Liaison with IT support staff and support channels
Training:
Review and recommend BIM training courses
Provide on-going internal training of BIM from fundamental to intermediate levels
Conduct CPD sessions for BIM
Provide technical orientation to new staff regarding BIM tools
Asses capabilities of new staff
Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training
Attend conferences, seminars, workshops etc. to develop the team
Project Roles:
Authors project BIM Plan in Bid phase; sets Data Management strategy & workflows for projects
Coaches project teams
QAs Models in rotation
Support project standards and coordination with consultants
Provide guidance for the creation of Revit families in response to project needs
Help resolve BIM workflow issues
Presentation of BIM Services:
Demonstrate BIM at relevant events in his/her region
Identify BIM trends and opportunities in his/her region
