- Role Overview
Responsibility for the planning and allocation of material resource.
Provide contract support to the rest of the team when needed
Key Accountabilities:
- Ownership of all material & plant resource planning
- Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
- Ensuring materials required on the job are kitted in line with start dates with adequate notice provided to partners, engineers & suppliers
- Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems
- Analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements
- Liaising and negotiating with suppliers on a local & national level
- Planning multiple deliveries and returns.
- Developing business by improving service, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.
- Assessing the viability of new supply strategies and implementing accordingly
- Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy for coop goods
- Pick and arrange with engineer/partner, delivery or collection of materials for all Clients work
- Deal with additional material requests from partners & engineers
- Liaise with all suppliers to minimise missed delivery targets
- Assist accounts with any invoice queries for the Client (HSS/GA Nics/Neweys & Mayflex)
- Manage all hired access equipment & plant to ensure all items are logged & returned at the earliest opportunity to minimize charges where possible.
- Chase all stock usage forms & job cost usage in good time for billing & replenish all stocks
- Prepare and issue Job Packs for each job.
- Chase O/S Test Certs, Job Packs & stock usage forms from Engineers
- Prepare & Issue O+M Manuals to relevant companies within the required time
- Update Refit Tracker Daily
- Keeping the issues log up to date as for weekly assessment by Field Operations Manager.
- Assist with all Travel/Accommodation bookings where necessary
- Escalating any problems or delays to the relevant persons in the team for action where necessary.
- Deal with any other enquiries & assisting the rest of the team where necessary
