Qualification/Experience
BSC or MSC Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechnical Engineering or Material Science.
NET promoted to executive and having either Senior Welding Inspector of diploma in any above discipline.
Minimum 8 years working experience either in design, construction, project, maintenance or inspection experience in oil and gas industry with at least 3 consecutive years in static equipment inspection.
Minimum 8 years working experience in executive position either in design, construction, project, maintenance or inspection experience in oil and gas industry with at least 5 consecutive years in static equipment inspection.
Job Purpose
To develop, plan, implement an effective inspection and condition monitoring programmes for both onstream and shutdown/turnaround activities in an assigned. Area such that these programmes meet all the quality assurance, legal requirement and the code and standard which ensure the integrity and reliability of the static equipment for continuous safe plant operation.
Major Tasks
Develop, plan and implement inspection and corrosion monitoring programmes that contribute towards maintaining the integrity of plant static equipment and to ensure compliance with statutory(DOSH) requirements, relevant design codes and PP(M)SB safety procedures.
Analyse inspection results, trends degrading conditions or equipment failures and provide feedback/recommendations to superior/higher management for immediate corrective action in order to safeguard the mechanical integrity and reliability of the operating equipment and facilities.
Meet the business objectives of the Company by developing inspection schedules based on Risk Based Inspection strategies and statutory inspection requirements such that inspection intervals are optimised and also to provide a basis for self-regulation of registered equipment.
Establish test techniques and procedures, interpret codes and standards as per specifications and designate particular test methods, techniques and procedures to be used to ensure compliance with applicable industry guidelines, standards and statutory regulations.
Identify and propose relevant technical training and other accredited programmes to attain a higher standard of competency for increased productivity and performance among subordinates.
Develop and implement a comprehensive shutdown/turnaround inspection plan and ensure professional credibility is established with DOSH by demonstrating through preparation and Turnaround execution.
Prepare and propose annual inspection budget to effectively manage daily operating and turnaround inspection costs to achieve goals and targets adopted by the OPU.
Establish contract services and ensure that technically competent and experienced contractors and personnel are performing inspection work and services.
Participate in investigative work relating to failure analysis and solicit help with external specialists and consultants as deemed appropriate for equipment repair or mitigating damage consequences for continued plant operation.

Job Description
Special Aspect/Major Challenges:
The complexity of an integrated full conversion sour crude processing facility provides a major challenge to maintain awareness of the latest process, metallurgical and inspection technology to ensure that the appropriate material damage mechanisms are considered in the inspection and corrosion monitoring strategy.
The detection and evaluation of these damage mechanisms and their potential escalation are critical in order to make the appropriate judgments necessary to maintain an acceptable level of risk for equipment operating in corrosive and high-pressure environments.
PSR-2 expansion has introduced and additional 1164 pieces of equipment (250%) increase with associated interconnecting piping. In addition, the subsea single buoy mooring (SBM) facility and pipeline has also been introduced. The detail equipment breakdown which is under our inspection monitoring programme are as follows:

Implement and coordinate and effective Risk Analysis programmes of equipment integrity so that the strategy for inspection, maintenance and unit downtime can be effectively planned and optimized for both the long and short term.
