Our client is looking for a Principal C&I Engineer to joint their team based in the North West.
The Principal Engineer is accountable for the development, delivery and quality of all assigned projects. Also responsible for the management of resources allocated on any given project and for liaison on resourcing issues across projects. Reporting any abnormalities to the Engineering Manager.
Staff rates £45-60k approx.
Contractor rates £50-65p/h approxDuties and Responsibilities
• To evaluate tender/enquiry documents and identify project deliverables, risk and suitability for the Company, assisting in the tender/bid submission process.
• To identify tender/project requirements in terms of personnel, man-hour estimates, timings and other resources to ensure the project is completed to maximise profit.
• To prepare and participate in contract reviews and subsequently undertake design briefs with the Engineering Manager to ensure they are fully informed and aware of project scope, deliverables and project requirements.
• To deliver all project outcomes including keeping within the man-hour budget, forecast completion budget, relevant legislation, quality systems and ensuring all Company targets are met.
• Together with the Engineering Managers to be the front line liaison/contact between the Company and the Client ensuring that both the Client and the Company are fully aware of the project status at any time.
• To ensure all members of the project team are aware of Company strategies, key objectives and all project information in a timely and effective manner to enable full implementation of Company and project objectives
• To ensure all projects and teams are monitored and controlled using establishing reporting systems, targets and milestones to identify the ongoing progress v programme and forecast completion dates/budgets.
• To attend all progress/technical meetings regarding the project with Client teams as deemed necessary. Ensuring that all information is on hand to enable full participation and ability to remain professional at all times.
• Check all project documents produced; to ensure compliance to standards and customer specifications.
• Ensure hand-over documentation and processes are carried out in a professional manner, to the Clients specifications, on time and within budget.
• Variances, failures or non-compliance to budgets are identified, investigated and remedial action is put in place to ensure no reoccurrence.
• Establish good and effective working relationships with all internal and external customers to enable commercially successful project implementation and to identify future business opportunities.
• Production of all assurance documents such as risk assessments to the standards required complying with all HSE legislation and company standards.
