- Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Firm, based in Manchester. They are looking for Electrical Design Engineers to meet a sustained workload and further strengthen our successful team.
About the role
You will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes.
You will be client facing, technically well rounded and able to offer the benefit of your experience to more junior Electrical Engineers within the team. You will be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 Engineers within a larger team structure led by an Associate.
Responsible for meeting with clients, developing and producing reports, specifications and guidance or overseeing testing and commissioning activities, we work closely as a team to ensure we achieve the best results.
About You
You will have a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Qualification and relevant experience, be working towards chartership or chartered. You should have excellent technical knowledge in your primary discipline and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
With previous consultancy experience, you will appreciate the importance of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering and computer modelling in the design of buildings and be adept at analysing and interpreting their impact on your work.
You will be self-motivated and confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a proven track record of exercising commercial judgement together with practical knowledge to deliver positive outcomes, you will be collaborative both externally in design teams and internally with peers, and you will be ambitious and energetic, capable of getting the best out of your team
