A diverse business with an outstanding project portfolio, our client offers innovative engineering solutions. Right now they are looking for an ambitious and experienced Chartered Engineer capable of managing projects through delivery to financial close and to assist with growing the engineering team in the Birmingham office. The successful candidate will progress quickly to lead large projects and take on more business level responsibilities such as competence management.
As Principal Civil & Structural Engineer, which reports to our Associate Director in the Birmingham office, you will be given responsibility for the technical management of your own projects working on major UK commissions such as large Energy from Waste plants. Part of this role will be leading the development of technical competence within the team, checking and approving design information. They are currently delivering projects on 2 large Energy from Waste Plants with 2 more in the pipeline.
About You- Civil or Structural Engineering degree
- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer
- Solid experience and a proven track record of delivering large civil / structural design projects
- Experience of working with Contractors in a design and build environment
- Experience of undertaking line management
- Experience of designing and checking civil engineering deliverables
- Experience of delivering projects to EC2 Eurocodes
- Experience and Knowledge of BIM
