- Our client is currently seeking an experienced Utilities Engineer to join their Infrastructure Services Team based out of their London office.
The primary responsibility of the Utilities Engineer is to deliver the technical output from the clients growing ‘Infrastructure’ business in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
You will meet with utilities operators to negotiate services that fulfil their clients technical and commercial needs.
Create and maintain utility company workstream tracking tools, prepare regular progress and quality reports, and technical sketches, advise clients, and project manage technical and commercial aspects of projects.
Their ‘Infrastructure’ team provide technical, commercial and procurement advice (plus reports, drawings and other construction related documents) to enable residential and commercial developers to install and commission new water, gas, district energy, electricity and telecommunication infrastructure in a de-risked, timely and efficient manner. This includes temporary and permanent alterations to existing utility apparatus.
THE INDIVIDUAL
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of planning, designing, installing and/or commissioning utilities infrastructure including an understanding of utility company processes/protocols, costs and risks.
You will also have 3+ years’ experience of working with Developers and have a good understanding of their needs.
You will have excellent communication skills at all levels – written, verbal and face to face - and will ideally be educated to HND/HNC level, however relevant experience is more important.
